How does Novi Marine configure a Gemini rescue RIB for a rescue team?
Novi Marine starts with the team’s procedures and builds the boat around them. Working deck, console, seating, boarding and grab points, navigation, communications, work lighting and rescue equipment storage are developed as one operational configuration.
Can a rescue RIB be prepared for a trailer, crane or davit?
Yes. Transport, storage and launching method are considered from the model-selection stage. Novi Marine can configure the boat for trailer use, lifting points for crane operations or a davit on board a larger vessel.
How is recovering people from the water considered in the configuration?
Clear working space, tube height, boarding arrangements and grab points are reviewed against the rescue procedure. Crew and equipment positions are also considered, allowing the team to work around a person in the water without unnecessarily obstructing the deck.
How is a rescue RIB kept ready after delivery?

The compact SWR13 and more robust SWR16 are developed for operations in flooded areas. A SOLAS Rescue RIB carried permanently on a ship is matched to the available deck space, davit, launching system and the requirements applying to that vessel.
